This project is an illustrated, informational crash course on the development and evolution of animation, from documenting the devices that precede it, to detailing the current state of animation today. The information includes an illustrative timeline of pre-animation devices, a branching model showing the different paths of traditional and two-dimensional animation (Western versus Eastern), and statistics and facts about the medium that currently reigns supreme in the animation industry: computer generated imagery.
